Moon Laugh
On a thick summer's night,
A white pasty moon steals my senses,
Bellowing and whispering for me to come.
Smiling down on the silk laden water,
It sings a lullaby amidst the trees.
Dry grass twirls and dances about,
Under its fair faced friend.
Spiteful stars glare at their newly risen competitor,
While shy clouds don their brilliant elegance.
All for the moon, all for the moon and her fancy.
